Gluteoplasty

For each gluteal prostheses, the lifetime depends on certain conditions, including physical activities and professional lifestyle. There is no way to guarantee the lifetime of the implant.

PRE-OPERATIVE INSTRUCTIONS

  • A deep analysis will determine the location of the scars, the type and size of the implants.
  • A regular pre-operative check-up is necessary before surgery according to the prescriptions.
  • Proper consultation with an anaesthetist is mandatory for making decisions regarding anaesthesia dosage at least two days before the operation.
  • Do not take medicines that contain Aspirin ten days before the procedure.
  • Observe fast, no oral intake of anything for six to seven hours before the operation

POST SURGERY INSTRUCTIONS

  • Depending on the size of implants, pain with variable intensity exists after operation for a few days. One can take Analgesic to minimize the pain.
  • A patient may experience a little discomfort and swelling after surgery
    Oedema (swelling), bruising and walking discomfort are common problems in the early stages.
  • Stitches can face tension due to movement. To overcome, do not lie with your face downward for at least fifteen days.
  • Spend most of the time in a straight vertical position. This way, bruises will move to the thighs.
  • You may sit on your buttocks for going to toilets purpose only.
  • A lighter bandage replaces the first bandage in a few days.
  • If sutures are not absorbable, the surgeon will remove them 15 days after the intervention.
  • You need recuperation with no physical activities for at least ten to fifteen days.
  • Resume the playing of sport from the 4th week after the operation. Start with lighter exercises.
