Bichectomy
This surgery takes place at an outpatient surgical facility for buccal fat pad removal, and patients can return home the same day. It is a 30 – 60 minutes long procedure, and if there are other facial rejuvenation procedures, the overall surgery time is much longer. This removal is performed very gently from inside the mouth in the cheek area. This method results in a more sculpted and natural-looking facial appearance without any visible scars.

POST SURGERY INSTRUCTIONS
- Most people recover from this procedure quickly, with only mild-to-moderate swelling and pain.
- Make sure to have someone available to drive you home after the operation, as you will still be affected by the anaesthesia and sedatives you received.
- This surgery causes little downtime in most patients. Many people who have it done can return to work the day after the procedure. Of course, this may not apply to those with highly physical jobs.
- After 5-7 days, you can return to all normal activities with no pain. The results are instant, and one can feel it right after surgery. However, for full results, wait enough time for the swelling and redness to subside.
Although many people heal nicely within one week afterwards, some people need up to 4 months to fully recover from it.
